James was a GIANT man who had huge hands and feet so big that you would hear a “Boom. Boom. Boom,” every time he would take steps in a room. But despite being a GIANT, his heart was even bigger than he was.

James was a theatre actor who loved leaving audiences smiling and clap, clap, clapping. He would also take care of his fellow actors, giving them a sweet, treat, and a big hug every time they would meet.

Unfortunately for James, even though he was loved by those who knew him, because he was a GIANT that made people go “Oooh,” “Aah!” and “Eek!” He always had to play the Big Bad Monster in the play, and he did not like playing a mean character because James was anything but a “Monster.”

He would even ask The Director of the play, “Can I play a good person... please?”

“Hahaha!” The Director would laugh. “You’re a GIANT. You are and always will be the monster in every play,” he told James.

A disappointed James listened and thought, “Well, if I keep doing my best, maybe, just maybe, I’ll be the hero of the play.”

However, one day, the curtain was lifted and James charged onto the stage as the Big Bad Monster. Throwing fake trees and stairs while also making the theatre hall shake every time he took a GIANT step. As always, he made the audience go “Oooh,” “Aah!” and “Eek!” But then, he leaned over the stage towards a little girl in the audience, and in his monster voice said: “When you go to sleep tonight, you won’t think of the ocean. You’ll think of evil, you’ll think of the Big Bad Monster! Muhahaha!”

After a brief moment of silence, the little girl let out a wail and jumped into her mother’s arms. The audience then booed and threw rubbish at James.

A stunned James could not believe his eyes. That was not him. He was just playing the Monster.

James ran off the stage, heartbroken. The play carried on, but so did the audience’s boos and the little girl’s crying.

After what felt like an eternity, the theatre hall suddenly heard a “Boom. Boom. Boom.” James reappeared, this time, not as the Monster, but as James, the kind-hearted GIANT.

He walked towards the little girl, and in trademark James fashion, gifted her with a sweet, treat, and after saying, “I’m sorry,” gave her a big hug during this meet.

For the first time ever, James made an audience go, “Aww.”

He then brought the little girl onto the stage, and they danced in front of everyone while the audience began clap, clap, clapping.

Since that day, James was no longer known as the Big Bad Monster. He was James “The GIANT HERO.”
